A temporary community-serving project

About This Project

The Fox Valley Tornado Recovery Hub was created in response to the July 2026 tornado and its aftermath. It serves the wider Fox Valley, with special attention to Menasha as an especially hard-hit area.

What the site does

  • Organizes established resources and public listings by recovery need.
  • Links to official, dated updates.
  • Publishes public community requests and concrete offers.
  • Provides free recovery and preparedness guides.
  • Gives posters a private way to edit, renew, or remove listings.
  • Reviews reported exceptions when reasonably possible.

What the site does not do

  • Dispatch emergency services.
  • Guarantee a response or successful match.
  • Verify every person, claim, business, service, price, license, or outcome.
  • Perform background checks.
  • Handle payments, donations, or fundraising.
  • Provide legal, medical, insurance, structural, or contractor advice.
  • Act as a social network, comment forum, or rumor board.

Community Safety Notice

Human decency matters. Caution still matters.

This website is not pre-screened or actively monitored. Public listings are submitted directly by community members and rely heavily on honesty, good judgment, and human decency.

Please be careful about what information you choose to share. Do not post private addresses, sensitive personal information, insurance details, medical information, or anything you would not want publicly visible.

Use reasonable caution when contacting or meeting someone through this website. Verify information independently, meet in a safe place when possible, and never enter unsafe or restricted property.

If you see something suspicious, misleading, unsafe, or inappropriate, please report it to info@foxvalleyrecovery.org. Reported listings will be reviewed and addressed as soon as reasonably possible.

Please be careful. Please look out for one another. Please be a good human.

Business and contractor safety

Business and skilled-service listings may be self-submitted. The site does not guarantee identity, licensing, insurance, availability, pricing, workmanship, or suitability.

  • Confirm business identity and contact information.
  • Check licensing or credential requirements.
  • Ask for proof of insurance where appropriate.
  • Get scope, price, payment schedule, and timing in writing.
  • Avoid pressure decisions and large upfront payments.
  • Do not hand over an insurance check.
This website depends on people being honest about what they need, what they can provide, and what they know. Do not exploit a disaster. Do not exaggerate urgency. Do not pressure vulnerable people. Do not spread rumors. Offer only what you can safely and responsibly deliver.
